Valentine's Day and Current Happenings

It's been a while since I've posted, but we're busy. For Valentine's day, Mike and I spent a Saturday at home together doing some cleaning, some taxes, some grocery shopping... the usual. But that night we went and got a gourmet pizza at Papa Murphy's and drank some sparkling apple cider. Mike got me some beautiful roses. I made him a cute scrapbook.

Then he gave me my Valentine's Day suprise... my own personal board game called "The Love Game". Mike made up every bit of it from the rules, to the actual board, he drew the pictures, he made playing cards, game pieces, and even game money that says "In Tristin We Trust". Every space on the game is sweet and personal. Some require us to share our feelings for one anothers. Others require a funny story, and others require you to remember facts about our relationship. (and some are a little naughty :) )

It was the sweetest, most romantic, most thoughtful gift in all the world!!! Of course we played it that night and had a really great time laughing and playing together. I love my husband so much! I seriously don't know how I got along without him the past 24 years! Marriage is the best! (Take note of all of the skyscrapers on the gameboard, and Mike's gamepiece is also a skyscraper. You'd think I married an architect or something! haha)

As far as daily life, Mike is taking two classes (and actually dominating Calculus!) and working full time. He's got promoted in his job and now gets taken out to eat at IHOP on a weekly basis for his weekly "meeting". He's proud that his Subi is still running strong. He is always rocking out on his Gibson SG, and that makes me smile. :)

I'm still teaching. My job seems to keep getting harder, instead of easier, but this too shall pass. I'm working on getting my Spanish endorsement and will take the Spanish Praxis Test in 2 1/2 weeks. I'm still suffering from daily headaches and migraines, but we still don't know why. I just got another MRI so we shall see if it tells us anything more.

We've decided we're going to buy a house and are just beginning to get serious about the house hunt. Sometimes it's exciting, and other times it's discouraging. But I know our perfect house is out there somewhere!!! I've decided sometime in the near future I want to start my own bilingual preschool, so we're trying to find a house suitable for me to start my own business.
That's all for now.

That's so sweet! House hunting sucks. That's what we've been doing too. I think we've decided to buy a plot of land, pour a basement and put a pre-built home on it. We can finish the basement on our own schedule after that and still end up with a pretty nice home. Good luck getting your endorsement!

So much fun stuff is going on in your life. I sure hope that they figured out why you are having headache all the time. Looks like you had a great v-day. We do need to get together some time soon.
