*Fall Time*

We have really enjoyed the fall season! It's been particularly fun knowing that our little baby is almost here. Right before Halloween we took a short vacation to Las Vegas to visit friends and family. We had a great time. Mike and I went to the Conservatory at the Belagio as we always do to see the amazing display.

What's better than a pic with Elvis on the strip??? A pic with TWO Elvises on the strip!!!

We spent some time with family. Isn't my niece adorable??

We stayed with some of our closest friends who just bought a house in Caliente. I was surprised to learn that when my husband says Caliente is just outside of Vegas, what he means is THREE hours away in the middle of the desert!!! It was such a cute little town and we had a great time staying with them. We hope to visit again soon!

Halloween was a lot of fun! The Saturday before Halloween, my sister and I got together and made some treats and a fun Halloween dinner. (Thank you Pinterest!!) We watched Hocus Pocus and carved pumpkins that night.

On Monday, Halloween Day, both Mike and I had to work a little late, so we zipped home and got our costumes on. We had some friends over, and my sister and her boyfriend. Our friends are from Spain and had never celebrated Halloween American style before. We had a great time!

For Thanksgiving this year, we decided to host it at my house. I was only three weeks away from having a baby and I had already started having contractions. I did not want to travel to Logan this year. So my family came here! My mom did most of the cooking. I really was hoping to help, but I was in a lot of pain that day with contractions and the nausea had come back. There were not many of us, but it was wonderful! We had my mom, me, Mike, my sis Tessa and her boyfriend Kraig.

After dinner, we hung out and checked out the Black Friday ads. I really didn't have much to buy since I am all prepared for Christmas early this year, but we still picked out some places to go. My mom and I didn't go crazy this year. Baby West insists on getting sleep. We went out around 8:30 and hit up Smith's, Guitar Center, Petsmart, Walmart, Old Navy, TJ Max, Bath and Body Works, and Rue 21. We didn't get home until 3:00 that afternoon! But it was a lot of fun. I completely finished my shopping that day!! It was funny because I swear I about had my baby in TJ Max. I was having some hefty contractions that day, and we just kept on going hoping to bring out Baby West. But he's too comfortable in my belly. Black Friday was also my Mommy's birthday!!! We had a fun little birthday party! Our theme was Another Year of Fabulous! And my momma is fabulous!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went to Temple Square with our Spanish friends to see the lights. It was fun to fill them in on the religious culture of the area and see their reactions. It was a great experience! And it wasn't very cold yet!!

After Thanksgiving, I have been busy wrapping presents and finishing up Christmas details. The house is decorated inside and out, the tree is up, all presents are bought, wrapped, and under the tree.

I've even done the monthly grocery shopping and everything is packed in the car. We truly are ready for this baby. We've had two practice runs to the hospital so far. I've decided that the hospital is my least favorite place on earth and that I'm really dreading my return, even though I'll get to bring home a baby. The nurses have not been my favorite. They've hurt me and the baby both times I've been in, causing me to bleed a lot and the baby's heart rate to drop drastically. As it turns out, labor sucks as bad as everyone says and I'm tired of painful contractions and false alarms. I'm thinking Baby West will be an only child. :) Well, hopefully the next time I'm blogging I'll be posting a cute pic of our baby and this tough time in my life will just be a memory (one that I hope I forget).

Hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday season!!
